Job searching made easy
You don't need to complete their registration program to start searching for your ideal job - simply type in the position you are looking for and the location, and before you know it, there's a list of potential dream jobs. However, if you want to apply, you need to go through the registration process, which is pretty straightforward, and yes, it's the usual standard information from your name and qualifications through to your experience.
Bestjobs.co.za also has a labor proficiency test which you can do as part of building your profile – they assure you it will only take 5 min, so we tested just to make sure and to check if it was worthwhile. We don't believe you are going to get any earth-shattering results from this test (and yes, it takes less than 5 min); a simple one-sentence based on your answers around leadership, social intelligence motivation, etc. With hindsight, we would give it a miss.
Those nifty features
Bestjobs.co.za has quite a few great features, like being able to see who has viewed your profile, an easily accessible list of your applications, and you can also favorite certain roles and set those all-important job alerts so that you never miss an opportunity. But our favourite feature is the salaries tab which allows you to gain insights into salary ranges for your particular role, which is always a great benchmark to be able to access.
A final note
The whole job searching process can be daunting and overwhelming, but once you've updated your CV and created a profile, the initial hard work is done. Now all you have to do is grab a coffee or glass of wine and click away until your dream job pops up.
